Founded in 2005, Coterie Chicago is a pop-up market that features a selection of artists, makers, and creative service providers. We offer creative producers a space to showcase their products to an equally creative community.

SARAH BORTT has a history of re-purposing items, making items from scratch, instigating groups of people for art and activism, and organizing pretty much anything she can get her hands on or her mind wrapped around from the time of her childhood.

JULIE GHATAN

JULIE GHATAN has been involved with Coterie since its inception. As the owner of Dovetail, a small boutique located in West Town, Julie focuses on matching shoppers with locally made and vintage goods. She is also a freelance copywriter and Certified Professional Resume Writer; her company Resumental helps everyone from artists to CEOs realize their career goals. She is heavily involved in the West Town community and co-created and chairs the annual West Town Art Walk.

LEIGH KELSEY

LEIGH KELSEY started her craft company Rhymes with Twee in 2005. She uses markers, a Riso Print Gocco, and a camera to create her goods. These include tea towels, punny greeting cards, and postcards featuring her photographic pet hedgehogs. Her goods are beloved by fellow weirdos of all ages.

CHRISTINE ROSA is a lifelong Chicagoan who has recently transplanted to Austin, TX. She has made a career out of designing and creating funky jewelry since 2004. In Austin, Christine is rebuilding her jewelry business while pursuing her new career as an academic librarian at Austin Community College.

JENNIFER FRIEDRICH is a visual and performing artist from Chicago who currently lives in Evanston where she co-owns an event production and décor company- Bon Events. Past forays include being a photographer, an art director, a development director, a puppetry theater founder, designer, performer and not so great actress. When not producing events she enjoys making costumes, jewelry, paper flower arrangements and dressing up her six year old like characters from ‘Labyrinth’.
